Kane Athletics was established to introduce and train athletes of all ages in the events of the pole vault and the long jump. Kane Athletics was started by Peter Kane, a vaulter who jumped for The College of New Jersey (formerly Trenton State College) class of '02 in NJ. There he vaulted 15' and long jumped 20'. During his 4 years at Scotch Plains-Fanwood he produced several Meet of Champions contenders, Two Watchung Conference Champions, All County Vaulters- including First team Max Carow, second team Tom Pennella and Kate Zaleski, and he also had several records broken including the Union County Girls pole vault relay record, the Union County Female Individual pole vault record and the Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School pole vault record.
