Pole Vault Long Jump High Jump Training

This year's camp boasts one of the finest coaching staffs any camp has to offer.  Coaches that have many years of experience and success in competing and training for the specific events of the pole vault, long jump and high jump and also have many years as both successful high school and college coaches.  Along with the several listed there will also be some guest coaches stopping in to each of the two different camp sessions.

Chris LaCosta:  This is Chris's second year coaching at Kane Athletics Summer Camps.  Chris was the New Jersey State pole vault champion in 1997 jumping 14'7.  He holds the school record at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School in New Jersey also at 14'7.  After high school Chris continued his vaulting at Rowan University.  Chris's experiences, dedication to the sport of Track & Field and his enthusiastic personality make him an large contributor in the spefics of the pole vault.

Chuck Seipp: Chuck was a National Competitor in the Decathalon while attending The College of New Jersey in 2000.  Some personal bests include 22' in the long jump, 6'8 in the high jump and 13'6 in the pole vault.  Chuck will be working primarily with the high jumpers and along with the long jumpers.

Dan Mullen:  Dan has been a National Competitor in the Pentathalon and Decathalon while attending The College of New Jersey.  He used to hold both the high jump and Decathalon records at TCNJ.  Dan has several years as the jumps coach at TCNJ and will be a part time coach at the camp (at both sessions).

Max Carow:  Max is a pole vaulter and long jumper at Marist University in New York.  He is a 2006 graduate of Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School where he was under the coaching of Peter Kane.  This past winter Max broke the Indoor School Record at Marist with a vault of 13'3.  Max is a second year coach for Kane Athletics and will once again be working with the vaulters and long jumpers.
